A decade ago we launched the Lazer rocket, we’ve flown high and we’re still going strong! – Exactly 10 years ago today, we met for the first time to write the first version of our PrEP leaflet. Printed hundreds of thousands of times, it was a mega-success: it was the first ever published in …
… German, later the first to be published in Spanish for the whole of Latin America and, in translation, the first text for potential PrEP users worldwide to be published in Arabic!
Since the beginning, we’ve championed radical pleasure, safer use, and collective care.. We play at clubs, at chat rooms and at talk shows transcontinentally with techno-cyber art and solid drug education. As a small, self-organised network, we expand and stretch queer spaces. We urge everyone to own their chemsex—and shred stigma into confetti. And are as annoyingly activist as on the first day. Thank you to everyone who was and is with LL! We keep you all in our hearts! So many helping hands, remember? Flirting in the Love Lazers chat, photo sessions, time zone management, PrEP packs smuggled across borders, arguments about “the right word”, strategic collaborations, crying over coffee and cake at the kitchen table, never-ending proofreading, then letting a fellow camWe urge everyone to own their chemsex—and shred stigma into confetti. paigner sleep on the sofa, mescaline punch at Christmas, farewells, interviews in leather chaps, always keeping a healthy distance from the pharmaceutical industry, us in inclusive PrEP fashion on the catwalk, learning by un-learning, and … doing, even horny at night in front of the screen – we don’t know how to thank you all and simply say: Th❤nk you!

Today our work is changing: more chemsex, more global solidarity! And our fight against HIV stigma continues:
Our latest activities: Consensual Sex Sticker (ES/EN) – our mobile awareness kit against assaults on sex dates and chill sessions. Created in Colombia, further developed in Berlin-Neukölln: think local, work global! +++ Our G-article – up-to-date knowledge about GHB/GBL in 7 languages, including dose recommendations and crash management; most clicked content on lovelazers.org!!!! +++ “Mephisto, I’m fucking so high” – 19 personal user reports plus sci-fi story, set to music as a radio show. We give the chemsex community the floor instead of talking about them. +++ CREMOSA – our blueprint for queer-sex-positive parties including an awareness crew, safe-use corner and trans-open booking. In Colombia and Germany: We can simply do it ourselves! The message: Don’t just demand spaces, build them yourself!

Activism Is a Long-Game
All exhausting, but all happy: working without a bank account, hardly any budget, but with full independence! Our decision-making processes happen in a workflow: chat → action → reflection. We cooperate with ballroom houses, trans* sex worker collectives and the underground techno scene. In Colombia, Zurich and Berlin. Stigma-busting still drives us – against HIV discrimination, slut-shaming and drug-bashing. Because the fight is not over. Joy, social justice and community care are our compass!
Ten years after the first ray of light, we say: We are Lazers, we illuminate love. Join us at warp speed – into another millennium of radical lust and collective care!

DIY-Tools from Bogotá to Berlin Neukölln: We introduce our work at the “Queer Pharma” conference in Berlin
Join us for a discussion about chemsex practice and awareness structures in nightlife. Media designer and drag performer Megalitxs speaks for Love Lazers. We read the chemsex chapter of our declaration BE A LOVE LAZER. In it, we celebrate all those who push boundaries when it comes to intoxication, tenderness and collective care. We negotiate risk without demonisation and consider pleasure to be a human right. Date: Thursday, 5 June 2025, 16:00, “Queer Pharma Practitioners & Activists” conference (Freie Universität Berlin, Rostlaube L 116, Habelschwerdter Allee 45)
